A Local Planning Authority in the North West are seeking an experienced Planning Officer to assist in addressing a backlog of minor and medium scale applications. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic area team and take charge of a diverse caseload primarily consisting of minor and householder applications, with potential involvement in complex medium scale developments.
As part of this role, you'll encounter projects in various topographical settings, ranging from densely developed urban areas to greenbelt schemes. This exposure will provide you with a broad and varied caseload, enriching your professional experience.
To be the ideal candidate, you should have practical experience in Development Management as a Planning Officer or Senior, with a proven track record of successfully processing a range of planning applications in urban areas. Additionally, a degree in Town & Country Planning or a related discipline is required, along with strong communication and report writing skills.
