I'm currently working on behalf of a respected planning consultancy in the East Midlands that is looking to appoint a Planning Assistant to support its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious graduate or early-career planner seeking exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, commercial, mixed-use and strategic land developments.
The Role:
- Supporting senior planners with planning applications and appeals.
- Assisting in the preparation of planning statements and supporting documentation.
- Undertaking planning policy research and site appraisals.
- Liaising with local authorities, consultants and clients.
- Contributing to project delivery across a wide range of development sectors.
The Candidate:
- Degree or Master's qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline.
- Working towards RTPI accreditation or keen to pursue chartership.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A genuine interest in the UK planning system and development sector.
