Are you an experienced planner ready to take the next step into a senior leadership role?

I'm currently partnering with a highly regarded planning consultancy in Birmingham that is looking to appoint an Associate Planner to support the continued growth of its Midlands team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded planning professional seeking greater responsibility, client exposure, and a clear pathway towards Associate Director level.

Working as part of an established and successful team, you'll be involved in delivering planning strategies and securing consents for a diverse range of projects including residential, commercial, mixed-use, logistics, infrastructure, and strategic land developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading planning projects from inception through to determination.
• Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor.
• Preparing and reviewing planning appraisals, applications, appeals, and representations.
• Mentoring and supporting junior members of the planning team.
• Contributing to business development activities and networking opportunities.
• Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary project teams.

Requirements:

• MRTPI qualified.
• Significant consultancy or private sector planning experience.
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system.
• Proven experience managing client relationships and project delivery.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Ambitious, proactive, and keen to play a key role in a growing team.
