An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Strategic Land & Planning Manager to join an established residential developer, working on the identification, promotion and delivery of residential sites across the North West.

This could be an excellent step-up opportunity for someone with around 2–5 years’ experience from a planning consultancy, housebuilder, developer or strategic land background who wants to develop their commercial experience and take greater ownership of projects.

The Role

You’ll be involved across the full strategic land and planning process, including:

• Identifying and assessing potential residential development opportunities.
• Undertaking site appraisals and supporting land acquisitions.
• Promoting strategic sites through the Local Plan process.
• Coordinating and managing planning applications.
• Working closely with external planning and technical consultants.
• Engaging with local authorities and key stakeholders.
• Supporting planning strategy and helping progress sites towards delivery.
• Gaining exposure to land, planning, development viability and commercial decision-making.

About You

You’ll ideally have 2–5 years’ planning experience within a consultancy, developer, housebuilder or strategic land environment.

You don’t need to already be operating at Manager level. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Planner or Senior Planner looking to step up, broaden their strategic land experience and move closer to the commercial side of residential development.
