Graduate Planner – Manchester

We're working with a well-established planning consultancy in Manchester that is looking to add a Graduate Planner to its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious graduate to kick-start their career within a supportive and collaborative environment, working on a diverse range of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects across the UK.
The Role
As a Graduate Planner, you'll support senior planners on a variety of planning applications, appeals, and development projects. You'll gain hands-on experience across the full planning process while receiving structured training and mentorship from experienced professionals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications
- Conducting planning policy and site research
- Preparing planning statements and supporting reports
- Liaising with local authorities, consultants, and stakeholders
- Supporting project delivery across a range of development sectors
- Attending client meetings and site visits
About You
We're keen to hear from candidates who have:
- A degree (or postgraduate qualification) in Town Planning or a related discipline
- A strong interest in the UK planning system and development industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong research and analytical abilities
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Eligibility to work in the UK
Previous planning-related work experience, internships, or placement year experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
