Town Planner | Newcastle | £35,000 - £50,000 DOE
I'm currently working with a well-established planning and development consultancy in Newcastle that is looking to appoint a talented Town Planner to join its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a planner who wants to work on a varied portfolio of residential, commercial, mixed-use and regeneration projects across the North East. The Role
As a Town Planner, you'll be responsible for managing planning applications from inception through to determination, providing strategic planning advice to clients, and building strong relationships with local authorities and stakeholders.
You'll be involved in:
- Preparing and submitting planning applications and supporting documents.
- Providing planning advice to a diverse client base.
- Liaising with local authorities, consultees and project teams.
- Preparing planning statements and appeal submissions.
- Assessing development opportunities and planning constraints.
- Supporting clients through the planning process from start to finish.
- Keeping up to date with local and national planning policy.
About You
I'm keen to speak with candidates who have:
- A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
- RTPI membership or are working towards chartership.
- Experience within a planning consultancy, local authority or developer environment.
- Strong knowledge of the UK planning system.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- A proactive and commercially minded approach.
