An established and growing planning consultancy based in Bournemouth is looking to appoint a Senior Town Planner to join its expanding team. The business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality planning advice across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
The Role
As a Senior Town Planner, you’ll play a key role in managing projects, supporting junior staff, and delivering expert planning advice to a wide range of clients. You’ll be involved in projects from initial site appraisal through to planning submission and determination.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied portfolio of planning projects across residential and commercial sectors
- Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals
- Providing strategic planning advice to clients
- Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders, and consultants
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Contributing to business development and client relationships
About You
- MRTPI qualified (or working towards)
- Proven experience within a consultancy or local authority environment
- Strong knowledge of the UK planning system
- Experience handling residential and commercial applications
- Excellent communication and report writing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
