Senior Planner / Principal Planner – Leeds | Planning Consultancy
Are you an experienced Town Planner looking to take the next step in your career with a respected and growing consultancy? We’re currently partnering with a well-established planning consultancy in Leeds that is looking to strengthen its team with the appointment of a Senior Planner or Principal Planner.
With a strong pipeline of work across residential, commercial, mixed-use, and strategic land projects, this role offers the opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality planning advice across a diverse range of developments throughout the UK.
The Role
As a Senior or Principal Planner, you will be involved in managing planning applications, leading projects, and supporting clients through the planning process. At Principal level, there will also be opportunities to help drive business development, mentor junior planners, and play a key role in the continued growth of the Leeds office.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and preparing planning applications and appeals
- Producing planning appraisals, reports, and strategy advice
- Liaising with clients, local authorities, and key stakeholders
- Leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
- Mentoring junior members of the planning team
- Supporting business development and client relationship management (Principal level)
About You
- Degree or Masters in Town Planning or a related discipline
- MRTPI qualified (or working towards with relevant experience)
- Strong experience within a planning consultancy or local authority
- Proven ability to manage projects and client relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
