A highly regarded, multidisciplinary consultancy based in Bourne End is looking to appoint a talented Heritage Consultant to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected practice known for delivering high-quality planning, design, and heritage advice across a diverse portfolio of projects throughout the UK.


The Role
You’ll play a key role in delivering a wide range of heritage projects, providing expert advice to clients across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. Working closely with planners, architects, and other specialists, you’ll help deliver thoughtful, policy-compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing Heritage Statements, Impact Assessments, and Desk-Based Assessments
  • Advising on listed buildings, conservation areas, and heritage assets
  • Supporting planning applications and appeals
  • Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders, and clients
  • Contributing to business development and client relationships

About You

  • A degree in Archaeology, Architecture, Planning, or a related discipline
  • Experience within a consultancy or similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of UK heritage legislation and planning policy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage projects independently and collaboratively
