Vivid Resourcing are currently working with a Scottish local authority who are looking to appoint an interim Development Management Planner to support their planning service during a busy period. The role will focus on managing a caseload of planning applications, preparing officer reports, and supporting the delivery of high-quality development management decisions in line with local and national planning policy.

The successful candidate will have prior experience working within a Development Management team in a Scottish local authority and a strong understanding of the Scottish planning system and relevant legislation. Experience assessing a range of applications, engaging with consultees, and providing clear planning recommendations will be essential.

Applicants should be confident working independently in a fully remote environment while maintaining communication with the wider planning team and stakeholders. The role will suit someone who can quickly integrate into the service and provide additional capacity to support the authority’s development management function.
