Your Role
As a Senior Planning Enforcement Officer, you’ll:
- Lead investigations into serious breaches of planning control
- Use formal enforcement powers and represent the council in legal proceedings
- Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of learning
- Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and elected Members
- Balance office work with regular site visits for a varied and engaging workload
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in planning enforcement and a strong grasp of relevant legislation
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a customer-first approach
- Ability to thrive under pressure and manage a diverse caseload
- A degree in planning or a related field is preferred
