A Local Authority in the East of England is looking for an Interim Senior/ Principal Planning Officer to join their team on a 12-month contract to support a diverse case load of applications ranging from Minor to Major developments.

 

This authority is very well connected to train lines, and road networks if you drive. They also allow a permit to park for free when you are working, too!

 

They have office requirements of 1 day per week in the office, but can be flexible for people who live further afield.

 

Key duties of this role may include:

  • Manage a varied portfolio of planning applications, including householders, minors, and majors.
  • Deliver advice online/ remotely for planning applications.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for the committee and delegated decisions.
  • Conduct site visits (when needed) and liaise with applicants, agents, and stakeholders.

If you have experience working in a Local Authority planning team, handling these sorts of applications, you will know what is required in this sort of role.
