Launch your planning career with a progressive consultancy seeking a Graduate Town Planner to join their team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with an RTPI-accredited degree to gain hands-on experience and grow within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out initial planning reviews and assessments for a variety of development sites, providing clear insights for investors and senior stakeholders.
- Undertake early-stage planning research and desk-based studies to evaluate site suitability and development potential.
- Monitor planning policy updates, identifying emerging opportunities and preparing concise reports to inform business decisions.
- Support planning projects through data collection, policy analysis, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Provide administrative and technical support to the Planning Manager while maintaining accurate project documentation and records.
About You:
- Strong understanding of the key principles of Town and Country Planning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality work under pressure.
- Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Degree-qualified in a relevant RTPI-accredited discipline and holding (or working towards) RTPI Licentiate membership.
- Ideally, some familiarity with GIS or other spatial analysis tools.
