Graduate Town Planner – Norwich

Kickstart your planning career with one of the UK’s leading residential developers that is looking for a Graduate Town Planner to join their team in Norwich. This is a perfect opportunity if you have recently graduated with a RTPI accredited degree!
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out preliminary planning appraisals for a variety of development sites, presenting concise evaluations to senior management and private investors.
- Assess potential sites through initial research and desktop planning studies.
- Track updates in planning policy and highlight emerging opportunities for development, preparing briefings and reports where relevant.
- Gather and analyse data to inform planning strategies and project decisions.
- Support community consultations and liaise with stakeholders throughout the planning process.
- Provide day-to-day administrative and technical assistance to the Planning Manager.
- Ensure all project documentation — including plans, permissions, and communications — is accurately maintained and up to date.
About You:
- Solid understanding of the fundamental principles of Town and Country Planning.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capable of producing high-quality work under tight deadlines and with limited supervision.
- Skilled in critical thinking and data analysis.
- Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to shared goals.
- Familiarity with GIS systems would be advantageous.
- Educated to degree level in a planning-related field accredited by the RTPI.
- Holds, as a minimum, Licentiate membership of the RTPI and demonstrates commitment to achieving Chartered status.
