The Role
As a Town Planner, you’ll be involved in a wide range of exciting and high-profile projects across the Midlands and beyond. You’ll prepare and manage planning applications, contribute to planning appraisals, and provide strategic planning advice to clients. The role offers excellent exposure to projects of varying scale and complexity, alongside the opportunity to work with — and learn from — highly experienced senior planners.
Key Responsibilities

Preparing and managing planning applications and appeals

Undertaking research, site appraisals, and policy analysis

Preparing reports, planning statements, and client presentations

Liaising with clients, local authorities, and external consultants

Supporting business development and client relationship activities
About You

MRTPI-qualified or working towards chartership (support provided)

RTPI-accredited degree or master’s in Town Planning or related discipline

Ideally 2–4 years’ experience within a planning consultancy or local authority

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines

A collaborative, proactive approach and genuine enthusiasm for planning
