We’re working exclusively with a highly respected multi-disciplinary firm that’s expanding its Planning Team and seeking an experienced planner to help deliver major projects across the UK.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in managing complex development projects from inception through to completion, typically ranging from £250k to £25m in value. Working closely with in-house design teams, external architects, and consultants, you’ll oversee all aspects of the planning process — from pre-application to post-decision.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead high-profile projects, provide strategic planning advice to clients, and make a tangible impact on developments that shape communities nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the planning process for multiple large-scale projects

  • Prepare, review, and sign off on planning reports and applications

  • Advise clients on planning strategies, policies, and regulations

  • Represent the consultancy at planning committees, public consultations, and stakeholder meetings

  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams and external consultants

  • Monitor and report on application progress, appeals, and compliance

About You

  • Degree in Geography, Urban Planning, or related field (2:1 or above)

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in private sector planning (consultancy or developer)

  • Chartered RTPI membership or working towards it

  • Strong project management and communication skills

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

Why Apply?

  • Innovative Projects – Work on diverse, challenging developments across the UK

  • Collaborative Environment – Partner with talented architects, engineers, and planners

  • Professional Growth – Support for continued professional development and RTPI progression

  • Flexible Working – Hybrid model and flexible hours for better work-life balance

This is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic, growing consultancy where your expertise will be valued and your career supported.
