Responsibilities

You would make sure that developers contribute to the provision of infrastructure through section 106 agreements, the community infrastructure levy and biodiversity net gain payments. This will require careful monitoring of development and maintaining records showing when funds are due, the conditions detailing what it should be spent on and tracking the allocation of funds to projects. You will support decision-making around identifying infrastructure priorities and the relationship with development and developer funding. Your work will enable vital infrastructure to be provided.

Skills required

To succeed in this role you will need knowledge and experience of legislation and practice relating to section 106 and the community infrastructure levy and an awareness of how infrastructure contributes to creating successful places. Care and accuracy in recording and analysing data with the use of information technology will be vital. An ability to communicate information in a clear format within deadlines for reporting is essential.

Educational requirements

You will have a degree that is relevant to the job or be able to demonstrate a strong depth of experience in a similar role. We will provide you with opportunities to learn and we expect you to have an appetite for continuous professional development.
