The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

    • Managing project timelines, budgets and client relationships throughout the process

    • Attending client meetings and providing clear, commercially focused planning advice
    • Building constructive relationships with Local Planning Authorities and statutory consultees
    • Preparing and reviewing planning applications, appeals and supporting documentation
    • Keeping up to date with changes to planning policy and emerging Green Belt and Grey Belt guidance
    • Applying current planning policy and legislation to a variety of client projects
    • Supporting the delivery of Residential and Commercial development schemes
    • Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team
    • Con tributing to the continued development and growth of the planning team

The Candidate

We’re looking for a confident planning professional with strong technical knowledge and the ambition to take ownership of projects and develop their career.

You’ll ideally have:

  • 3+ years’ experience within a planning consultancy or Local Authority environment
    • MRTPI qualified or actively working towards chartership
    • Strong understanding of the UK planning system and how Local Government operates
    • Experience across Green Belt, Grey Belt, Residential and/or Commercial planning would be advantageous
    • Proven experience managing planning projects and working with clients
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Confidence presenting to clients, stakeholders and professional teams
    • Excellent organisational and project management skills
    • A full UK driving licence, with the ability to attend site and client meetings across the region

Why This Opportunity?

You’ll have the opportunity to lead your own projects from start to finish, develop strong client relationships and play a meaningful role on larger, more complex schemes. Alongside this, you’ll have the opportunity to mentor junior planners and contribute to the wider growth of the team.
