Town Planner – Manchester
£35,000 – £45,000 + benefits | Hybrid working
We’re working with an established and highly regarded planning consultancy in Manchester that is looking to appoint an experienced Town Planner to join its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a planner looking to develop their career within a collaborative consultancy, working across a varied portfolio of interesting projects and clients.
The Role
As a Town Planner, you’ll be involved in a broad range of planning work, including:

Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals

Undertaking planning appraisals and providing strategic planning advice

Conducting research and interpreting local and national planning policy

Liaising with local planning authorities, clients and other stakeholders
-
Supporting projects from initial feasibility through to determination

Managing your own workload while working closely with senior colleagues
About You
We’re keen to speak with Town Planners who have:

A relevant degree in Planning or a related discipline
-
Previous experience within a planning consultancy or similar environment
-
A good understanding of the UK planning system and relevant legislation
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
-
A proactive, commercially aware and client-focused approach
RTPI membership or working towards chartership would be advantageous, although candidates at different stages of their planning career will be considered.
