Principal / Associate Town Planner
Location: Wilmslow, Cheshire East
Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid working 3 days in officer
I am currently working with an established and growing planning consultancy who are looking to expand their team in their Wilmslow office. They are seeking planners from Principal Town Planner through to Associate Planning Director level, depending on experience.
The consultancy works across a diverse range of projects including residential, commercial, mixed-use, infrastructure, renewable energy, waste and major development. They are looking for well-rounded planners with strong core planning experience who are keen to take on greater responsibility and progress their careers.
You will be responsible for managing and delivering a varied portfolio of planning projects, providing strategic advice and working closely with clients, consultants and local authorities.
Key responsibilities include:
·Managing planning applications and projects from inception through to determination.
·Providing professional planning advice across a range of sectors.
·Preparing and reviewing planning statements, appraisals and reports.
·Liaising with clients, local authorities and key stakeholders.
·Supporting project teams and, at senior level, mentoring junior planners.
·Developing planning strategies and providing commercially focused advice.
Experience in renewables, infrastructure, waste or DCO projects would be advantageous but is not essential.
About You
·Experienced Town Planner, Principal Planner or Associate-level professional.
·MRTPI or working towards chartership is desirable.
·Strong knowledge of UK planning policy and legislation.
·Experience managing planning applications and/or development projects.
·Strong communication, project management and organisational skills.
