Senior Town Planner
Gloucestershire - Hybrid Working

Are you an experienced and motivated Senior Town Planner looking for your next challenge? We're recruiting on behalf of a specialist planning consultancy based in Cirencester. This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit, collaborative team where you'll lead on a wide range of residential and development projects, providing expert planning advice and helping to shape the future growth of the business.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Town Planner, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality planning services, including:
·Leading and managing a varied portfolio of planning applications from inception through to determination
·Preparing and reviewing planning statements, supporting documentation, and appeal submissions
·Undertaking site appraisals, planning assessments, and strategic development advice
·Managing client relationships and acting as the main point of contact throughout projects
·Leading negotiations with Local Planning Authorities, statutory consultees, and other stakeholders
·Supporting and mentoring junior members of the planning team
 
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
·A minimum of 4 years' UK planning experience within a consultancy or local authority environment
·A strong understanding of UK planning policy, development management, and the planning application process
·MRTPI chartered status (or working towards chartership with relevant experience)
·Proven experience managing projects and client relationships independently
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong report-writing abilities
