Are you looking to step into a client-side planning role where you can influence major development projects from concept through to delivery?

We're working exclusively with a highly regarded property business based in Leeds that is looking to appoint a Planner or Senior Planner to join its growing development team. This is an excellent opportunity for a planning professional who wants to move away from consultancy or local authority work and play a key role in shaping an exciting portfolio of residential, mixed-use and commercial developments.

As part of an experienced in-house team, you'll work closely with development, design and external consultant teams to drive planning strategy, manage applications and support the successful delivery of projects across Yorkshire and the wider UK.

The Role

• Lead and manage planning applications from inception through to determination.
• Provide strategic planning advice across a diverse development portfolio.
• Liaise with local authorities, consultants, stakeholders and external planning advisers.
• Identify planning risks and opportunities to support project viability.
• Assist with site appraisals, planning strategies and land acquisition opportunities.
• Keep up to date with planning policy and legislative changes that may impact developments.

About You

• MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership.
• Experience gained within a planning consultancy, developer, housebuilder or local authority.
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Planner or Senior Planner level candidates will be considered, with responsibilities tailored to experience.
