Interim Principal Planning Policy Officer

I'm currently working with a Local Authority in Yorkshire looking to appoint an experienced Principal Planning Policy Officer on an interim basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in progressing strategic planning policy work, supporting the preparation and delivery of the Local Plan, evidence base, and wider policy initiatives. Initial contracts are for 6 months, with a strong likelihood of extension. Similar interim roles typically involve leading on complex policy workstreams and Local Plan delivery.

We're looking to speak with professionals who have:
- Recent UK Local Authority Planning Policy experience
- Strong knowledge of the plan-making process and national planning policy
- Experience preparing or reviewing Local Plans and supporting evidence base documents
- Excellent report writing and stakeholder engagement skills
- The ability to manage complex policy workstreams with minimal supervision
