Senior Planning Policy Officer
Kent | Hybrid Working | 6-Month Initial Contract
A Kent-based Local Authority is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Planning Policy Officer to support the team through a critical stage of the Local Plan examination process.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established policy team working at examination stage, with involvement across hearing statements, evidence base work, representations, and supporting the wider Examination in Public process.
Key Details:
• 6-month initial contract
• £40–£50 per hour DOE
• Hybrid working – office attendance required once per fortnight
• Kent-based Local Authority
• Flexible interviews available
The ideal candidate will have:
• Strong Planning Policy experience within a UK Local Authority
• Previous Local Plan examination stage experience
• Confidence preparing hearing statements and responding to Inspectors’ questions
• Ability to work independently within a busy policy environment
• MRTPI preferred but not essential
