An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transport Planner to join a growing consultancy in Manchester. The successful candidate will work on a broad range of development and infrastructure projects across the UK, supporting clients through the planning and development process.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative and experienced team on projects across residential, commercial, education, retail, industrial and mixed-use sectors.
The Role
• Preparation of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans
• Supporting planning applications and development proposals
• Undertaking transport analysis and data interpretation
• Assisting with junction modelling and capacity assessments
• Liaising with clients, local authorities and multidisciplinary teams
• Preparing technical reports and project documentation
• Supporting senior staff in the delivery of projects to programme deadlines
Requirements
• Degree qualified in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or a related discipline
• Previous experience within a transport planning or engineering consultancy
• Good understanding of UK planning policy and transport guidance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
Desirable Experience
• Experience using Junctions 10, LinSig, TRICS or TEMPro
• Membership or progression towards a professional body such as CIHT or TPS
