A Local Authority in the South East is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Planning Policy Officer to support their Planning Policy function on an interim basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a role with highly flexible working arrangements, with the council open to both part-time and full-time applicants.
You’ll be supporting the team across a range of policy work, helping to drive forward key planning policy projects and contribute to the authority’s wider strategic planning objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting planning policy preparation and development
- Assisting with Local Plan and evidence base work
- Preparing reports, policy documents, and consultation material
- Engaging with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Providing technical planning policy advice where required
Requirements:
- Previous Local Authority Planning Policy experience
- Strong understanding of the UK planning system and policy framework
- Experience contributing to Local Plan work and policy documents
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
