We are currently working on behalf of a highly regarded planning consultancy to recruit an Associate Planner for their London office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planning professional looking to take the next step in their career within a respected and growing consultancy environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in leading projects, managing client relationships, and supporting the continued growth of the planning team. The position offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, mixed-use, and strategic development projects across London and the wider UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing planning projects from inception through to determination
  • Preparing and reviewing planning applications, appeals, and strategic planning advice
  • Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
  • Liaising with local authorities, consultants, and stakeholders
  • Supporting business development activities and identifying new opportunities
  • Mentoring and supporting junior members of the planning team
  • Contributing to the overall growth and success of the London office

Candidate Requirements

  • MRTPI qualified
  • Significant experience within either consultancy or local authority planning
  • Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and policy framework
  • Proven experience managing complex planning applications and projects
  • Excellent report writing, communication, and client-facing skills
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively
  • Experience mentoring junior planners would be advantageous
