We are currently representing a leading independent planning and development consultancy that is looking to appoint a Senior Town Planner to join its growing Leeds office. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic and collaborative team on a wide-ranging portfolio of high-profile projects across the UK.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering expert planning advice across sectors including residential, mixed-use, commercial, logistics, and regeneration developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a variety of planning applications and appeals from inception through to determination
- Providing strategic planning advice to clients and stakeholders
- Preparing planning statements, site appraisals, and supporting documentation
- Managing client relationships and attending meetings with local authorities and project teams
- Supporting junior team members and contributing to business development activities
- Keeping up to date with planning policy and legislative changes
Requirements:
- MRTPI qualified (or working towards chartership with relevant experience)
- Proven experience within a planning consultancy or local authority environment
- Strong knowledge of the UK planning system
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and client-facing experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
