We’re working with a growing, forward-thinking planning consultancy in Nottingham that’s looking to appoint an Associate Town Planner to support the continued expansion of their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner ready to step into a leadership role, manage complex projects, and play a key part in shaping development across the region.
The Role
As an Associate Town Planner, you will:
- Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of planning projects across residential, commercial, leisure, energy and mixed-use developments
- Provide strategic planning advice to a wide range of clients
- Prepare and oversee planning applications, appeals, and site appraisals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders
- Mentor and support junior members of the team
- Contribute to business development and the growth of the planning function
About You
- MRTPI qualified (or working towards)
- Significant experience within a consultancy or local authority environment
- Strong knowledge of the UK planning system
- Proven track record in managing projects and client relationships
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset
