The Role

As Planning Manager, you will take ownership of planning matters across multiple sites, from early-stage land acquisition through to delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading planning strategy for new and existing residential developments
• Managing the preparation, submission, and negotiation of planning applications
• Promoting strategic land through the Local Plan process
• Engaging with local authorities, stakeholders, and consultants
• Managing external planning consultants and multidisciplinary teams
• Advising internal teams on planning risk, policy, and site constraints
• Supporting land acquisition through planning due diligence
• Representing the business at planning committees, hearings, and consultations

About You

• Significant experience within town planning, ideally within a housebuilder or consultancy environment
• Strong understanding of the UK planning system and residential development process
• Proven track record of securing planning permissions for housing schemes
• Experience in land promotion and strategic planning is highly desirable
• MRTPI qualified (or working towards)
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Commercially aware with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
