The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Town Planner to join our growing consultancy based in Coventry. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality planning advice across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
You’ll be joining a collaborative and forward-thinking team, working closely with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to navigate complex planning challenges and help shape sustainable communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a variety of planning projects from inception through to determination
- Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and supporting documentation
- Provide strategic planning advice to clients across multiple sectors
- Engage with local authorities, stakeholders, and the public as required
- Mentor and support junior team members
- Contribute to business development and client relationship management
About You
- MRTPI qualified (or working towards)
- Significant experience in a planning consultancy or local authority environment
- Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and policy framework
- Excellent report writing, communication, and project management skills
- Commercial awareness and a proactive, client-focused approach
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
