Senior / Associate Planner – Bristol
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic and growing planning consultancy in Bristol, working at the forefront of complex and high-profile development projects across the UK.
This specialist consultancy advises landowners, developers, and investors on all aspects of the planning process, with a strong reputation for delivering commercially focused, pragmatic, and successful outcomes. The team works across a diverse portfolio including residential, commercial, retail, and urban regeneration schemes, often leading multi-disciplinary project teams on strategic developments.
The Role
You will play a key role in delivering a wide range of planning projects, taking ownership of schemes and contributing to the continued growth of the business.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing planning applications from inception through to determination
- Preparing planning statements, strategy reports, and appraisals
- Advising clients on planning risk, opportunities, and development strategy
- Leading or supporting multi-disciplinary project teams
- Engaging with stakeholders, local authorities, and communities
- Supporting appeals, site promotions, and strategic land projects
About You
- MRTPI qualified (or working towards)
- Minimum 6+ years’ experience in planning (private or public sector)
- Strong background in development management and/or consultancy
- Commercial awareness and ability to provide clear, pragmatic advice
- Experience managing projects and client relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
