I am working with a Local Authority in the Gloucestershire area who are seeking an experienced Senior Enforcement Officer to support their Development Management and Enforcement service on a 6-month interim assignment. This is a great opportunity for an enforcement professional with strong investigative and case management experience to take on a varied and complex caseload.
The Role:
As a Senior Enforcement Officer, you will:
• Manage a caseload of complex planning enforcement cases from initial investigation through to resolution.
• Investigate breaches of planning control, including those relating to heritage, landscape, and advertising.
• Prepare and serve enforcement notices, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policy.
• Attend site visits, meetings, and liaise with stakeholders, including complainants, developers, and legal teams.
• Provide professional advice on enforcement matters to internal teams and Members where required.
• Support the wider Development Management and Enforcement service in maintaining effective service delivery.
Contract Details:
• Duration: 6 months initially
• Rate: DOE (Dependent on Experience) – rate to be sent alongside CV
• Working pattern: Hybrid – minimum 1 day per week in the office
• Hours: Full-time
