The Opportunity
An established and growing transport planning consultancy is looking to appoint a Graduate Transport Planner to join its Oxfordshire-based team.

This independent consultancy provides specialist transport planning and infrastructure advice across the UK, supporting developments from early feasibility through to delivery. With a strong reputation in the development sector, the business works on a diverse range of projects including residential, commercial, education and mixed-use schemes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to begin their career in a supportive, technically strong environment, gaining hands-on experience across a wide variety of projects.

The Role
As a Graduate Transport Planner, you will support senior team members in delivering transport planning solutions for development projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the preparation of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans
  • Undertaking data analysis, including traffic counts and junction modelling inputs
  • Supporting site appraisals and feasibility studies
  • Preparing technical reports and drawings
  • Liaising with clients, local authorities and project teams
  • Contributing to project delivery across multiple sectors

You will gain exposure to the full lifecycle of transport planning projects, with structured support and mentoring.

About You

  • Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or a related discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (experience with transport modelling software is advantageous but not essential)
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
