Town Planner – Cheshire

Location: Cheshire / Full-time / Salary: £30k - £35k

I am working with a specialist land-promotion and development advisory firm that’s looking for a Town Planner to join their office in Cheshire.

The Role:

As a Town Planner, you’ll contribute to a diverse mix of projects spanning residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. Working alongside senior colleagues, you’ll gain hands-on experience with complex planning applications and be involved in every stage of the planning process, from initial appraisal through to determination.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Drafting and submitting planning applications and managing appeal processes.

·         Undertaking site assessments and background research to inform planning strategy.

·         Communicating effectively with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders.

·         Contributing to the development of planning reports, statements, and supporting documents.

·         Providing assistance to senior planners on complex or large-scale developments.

Requirements:

• A degree accredited by the RTPI or an equivalent planning-related qualification.
• Preferably MRTPI qualified or actively working towards chartered status.
• Prior experience in a planning consultancy or local authority environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise reports.
• A proactive mindset and genuine enthusiasm for the planning profession.

Salary & Benefits:

·         £30,000 - £35,000, depending on experience.
