An ambitious and well-established planning consultancy is looking to recruit Planners and Senior Planners to join its growing and highly regarded team based in Bournemouth.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a friendly, experienced and collaborative practice working on a diverse portfolio of projects across the South of England and nationally.
About the Role
You will play an important role in supporting and delivering planning projects from early feasibility stages through to planning applications and appeals.
Responsibilities may include:
- Preparing planning appraisals, applications and planning statements
- Managing planning projects and coordinating with consultants
- Liaising with local planning authorities and key stakeholders
- Supporting or leading planning appeals and negotiations
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Contributing to the continued growth and success of the practice
About You
The consultancy is looking for motivated planners who are keen to develop their careers within a supportive and ambitious team.
You will ideally have:
- Around 2+ years’ experience in town planning (consultancy or local authority)
- MRTPI membership or working towards chartership
- A strong understanding of the UK planning system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage projects and work collaboratively within a team
