A well-established and growing property development and planning consultancy is looking to appoint a Town Planner to join their expanding team in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated planning professional to work on a diverse portfolio of residential and mixed-use development projects across the South East.

Working as part of a collaborative and experienced team, you will play a key role in managing planning applications, providing strategic planning advice, and supporting clients through the development process.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and supporting documentation

• Provide clear and commercially focused planning advice to clients

• Manage planning projects from early feasibility through to determination

• Liaise with local planning authorities, consultants, and stakeholders

• Undertake site appraisals and planning research

• Assist with planning strategies for residential and mixed-use developments

• Monitor planning policy and legislative changes

About You

• Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline

• Working towards or already MRTPI qualified (or equivalent)

• Previous experience within a planning consultancy, developer, or local authority

• Strong report writing and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

• A proactive and commercially minded approach
