This is an exciting opportunity for a planning professional to join a respected national consultancy, working on a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, commercial, education, healthcare, and mixed-use sectors.
The Role
As a Town Planner, you will play a key role in delivering planning advice and managing applications across a wide range of development projects throughout Wales and the wider UK. You will work closely with senior colleagues and multidisciplinary teams to provide strategic, commercially focused planning solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals

Undertaking site appraisals and planning policy research

Drafting high-quality Planning Statements and supporting reports

Liaising with Local Planning Authorities, consultees, and stakeholders

Managing smaller projects independently while supporting larger schemes

Attending client meetings and site visits
-
Monitoring planning legislation and policy updates
Candidate Requirements
-
Degree in Town Planning or related discipline
-
MRTPI qualified or working towards Chartership
-
Experience within consultancy or local authority
-
Good understanding of the Welsh planning system (desirable)

Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Proactive and organised approach to project management
