I’m currently working exclusively with a highly respected, independent planning consultancy in Hampshire that is looking to appoint a Senior Town Planner to support continued growth across its project portfolio.

The Opportunity
You’ll be joining an established and well-regarded planning team with a strong presence across the South of England. The firm advises on a diverse range of projects including:

Strategic residential developments

Commercial and employment sites

Heritage and rural projects

Local plan promotions and appeals
The role offers genuine responsibility from day one, with the autonomy to manage your own caseload while contributing to larger strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities

Managing planning applications from inception to determination

Preparing planning statements and supporting documentation
-
Leading client meetings and acting as a key point of contact

Engaging with local authorities and stakeholders
-
Contributing to appeals and site promotion work
-
Mentoring junior members of the team
About You
To be considered, you’ll ideally have:

MRTPI qualification (or working towards it with substantial experience)
-
4–8+ years’ experience in either consultancy or local authority

Strong report writing and communication skills

Commercial awareness and confidence in client-facing situations

A proactive and solution-led mindset
