I am currently working with a well-established and highly regarded planning consultancy that is looking to appoint a talented Planner to join their expanding team in the West Midlands.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a consultancy with a strong regional presence and an excellent reputation for delivering commercially focused planning advice across residential, commercial, mixed-use, and strategic land developments.

Our client is a dynamic and forward-thinking planning consultancy with a strong pipeline of secured work and a loyal client base that includes national housebuilders, developers, land promoters, and private sector clients.

The West Midlands team is continuing to grow due to sustained success and increasing project demand, making this a key appointment within the business.

The Role

As Planner, you will:

• Prepare and manage planning applications and appeals
• Draft planning statements and supporting documentation
• Provide planning advice to a diverse client base
• Undertake site appraisals and policy research
• Attend client meetings and liaise with local authorities
• Support senior team members on larger strategic projects

You will gain exposure to a broad range of projects while working within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

About You

• MRTPI qualified or actively working towards chartership
• Experience within a consultancy or local authority setting
• Strong understanding of UK planning policy and procedures
• Confident communicator with strong written skills
• Motivated, commercially aware, and keen to progress
