We’re currently supporting a Surrey based local authority seeking interim support within their Development Management Team, focusing on major applications.

You’ll be responsible for handling a caseload of major and potentially contentious proposals, advising applicants, and preparing recommendations for committee or delegated decisions. The role also includes managing appeals and preparing/presenting the Council’s case at hearings and inquiries.

The authority operates a hybrid model - two days per week in the office and three from home. This is an initial 6-month contract with strong potential to extend.
