Are you an experienced and ambitious Town Planner looking to take the next step in your career? A highly respected, multidisciplinary property consultancy with a 200-year heritage is seeking a Senior Town Planner / Associate to join their growing Planning & Development team.

This organisation supports a diverse client base – from private landowners and developers to commercial stakeholders – providing expert planning advice across the full planning lifecycle, including feasibility, applications, appeals, and strategic land promotion. The planning team sits within a wider property services group and works closely with colleagues across development, commercial property, rural consultancy, and land services.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Town Planner / Associate, you will:

  • Lead and manage complex planning projects from inception through to delivery, ensuring high standards of technical excellence.

  • Provide strategic planning advice to a diverse client base, helping them navigate local and national planning policy and guidance.

  • Prepare, submit and manage planning applications, including negotiation with local authorities and stakeholders.

  • Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to skills development and maintaining best practice.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, helping to grow the planning services offering.

  • Represent the business at industry events and contribute to thought leadership on planning matters.

What We’re Looking For

Our client is seeking a candidate with:

  • MRTPI accreditation (or equivalent) with substantial experience in UK town planning.

  • Demonstrable experience handling a broad range of planning work, including major applications, appeals, and strategic land projects.

  • Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to advise clients on risk and opportunity.

  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

  • A proactive, professional, and client-focused approach with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Why Apply?

  • Join a well-established, values-driven consultancy with a strong reputation and client base across the South East and East of England.

  • Work within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment that offers strong cross-practice collaboration.

  • Competitive remuneration package with performance incentives and professional development support.

  • Flexible working arrangements and participation in shaping business growth.
