Zodiac Recruitment are proud to be working with a nationwide leading town planning consultancy with an outstanding reputation across the UK planning sector. Due to continued growth, our client is looking to appoint a Town Planner or Senior Town Planner to join their highly successful East Midlands team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established consultancy known for delivering high-quality planning advice across a diverse range of projects and sectors, whilst benefiting from a flexible hybrid working arrangement.

The Role

You will play a key role in delivering planning consultancy services to a varied client base, supporting projects from initial feasibility through to determination and beyond.

Responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals

• Providing strategic planning advice to clients

• Managing projects and client relationships

• Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders and consultants

• Supporting junior team members (Senior level)

• Assisting with business development and networking opportunities

About You

We are keen to hear from candidates who:

• Hold a relevant Planning degree or equivalent

• Are MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership

• Have experience within consultancy or local authority planning

• Demonstrate strong report writing and communication skills

• Are commercially aware and client focused

• Are motivated to progress within a highly regarded consultancy

Senior candidates should demonstrate project leadership and client management experience.
