MRTPI Planner – Planning Consultancy

We’re working with a well-established and growing planning consultancy in Manchester that’s looking to add an MRTPI-qualified Planner to its team. This is a great opportunity for a planner who wants exposure to high-quality projects, clear career progression, and a genuinely supportive consultancy environment.
The Role
You’ll be involved in a broad range of planning work across the residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors. The role offers real responsibility, client exposure, and the chance to shape projects from early strategy through to determination and appeal.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and contributing to planning applications and appeals
- Preparing planning statements, site appraisals, and development strategies
- Liaising with clients, local authorities, and key stakeholders
- Supporting senior colleagues on larger, complex projects
- Helping to mentor junior team members (depending on experience)
About You
- MRTPI qualified
- Experience within a UK planning consultancy or local authority
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commercially aware and confident dealing with clients
- Ambitious, proactive, and keen to progress your career
