Senior / Principal Town Planner
Location: Cardiff | Hybrid
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
The Role
A dynamic and rapidly growing independent planning consultancy is seeking experienced Senior and Principal Town Planners to join its expanding team. You’ll be part of a collaborative nationwide practice with a strong track record of delivering high-quality planning advice and securing successful permissions across a broad range of development types.
This role offers the chance to work on diverse, high-profile schemes and contribute to shaping sustainable places while supporting the growth of the business and developing professionally within a supportive, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver complex planning projects for private and public sector clients
- Provide clear, commercially focused planning advice and strategy
- Prepare high-quality planning submissions, reports, and representations
- Negotiate with local planning authorities and stakeholders
- Manage your own caseload and support business development activities
- Mentor and guide junior planners as required
About You
- Chartered Town Planner (MRTPI) or working towards RTPI membership
- Significant planning experience in consultancy, developer, or local authority environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commercial awareness and proactive approach to client service
- Confident managing projects and developing client relationships
