Senior Planner

An established and growing private planning consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Planner to join its Manchester team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced town planner to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the North West and beyond, within a supportive and commercially astute environment.
The Role
As a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in managing planning applications and providing high-quality planning advice to a broad client base, including developers, landowners, and investors. You will be given real responsibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to mentor junior staff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and delivering a range of planning applications (major and minor)
- Preparing planning statements, appeals, and site appraisals
- Providing commercial planning advice to clients
- Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders, and consultants
- Supporting junior planners and contributing to team development
- Playing an active role in client relationships and business development
About You
- MRTPI qualified (or working towards with significant experience)
- Strong experience in a private consultancy or similar commercial environment
- Proven track record managing planning applications and client relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commercially aware, proactive, and client-focused
- Knowledge of the Manchester / North West planning landscape is advantageous
