Associate Director – Town Planning

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an Associate Director to join a highly respected, nationwide town planning consultancy in their Central London office.

This consultancy is renowned for its excellent reputation, high-quality client base, and for being a market-leading employer within the planning sector. The Role

As an Associate Director, you will take a senior leadership role within the London planning team, providing strategic advice and direction across a diverse portfolio of projects. You will be instrumental in client management, project delivery, team development, and the continued growth of the consultancy’s London presence.

The consultancy operates across a wide range of sectors, including:

  • Residential

  • Renewable Energy

  • Infrastructure

  • Assets and Estates

  • And many more

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing major planning projects from inception to determination

  • Providing high-level, strategic planning advice to a diverse client base

  • Managing key client relationships and supporting business development

  • Mentoring and developing junior and mid-level planners

  • Representing the consultancy at meetings, hearings, and stakeholder engagements

About You

  • MRTPI qualified

  • Significant experience within consultancy and/or local authority planning

  • Proven ability to lead projects and manage client relationships

  • Strong commercial awareness and leadership skills

  • Ambitious, proactive, and confident operating at a senior level
