Senior Planner – South Coast
As a specialist recruiter within the planning and development sector, I’m working with a highly regarded consultancy that is seeking a Senior Planner to join its expanding South Coast team.
This role is well suited to an experienced planner who enjoys leading projects, advising clients, and playing an active role in mentoring junior team members, while working on a varied portfolio of schemes across the region.
The Role
You will take responsibility for:
- Managing planning applications and projects from inception through determination
- Providing strategic planning advice across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments
- Preparing and reviewing planning statements, appeal submissions, and supporting documentation
- Liaising with local authorities, clients, consultants, and stakeholders
- Supporting and mentoring junior planners within the team
About You
My client is keen to speak with candidates who have:
- MRTPI qualification
- Strong experience within UK planning (public or private sector)
- A proven track record of managing planning applications independently
- Excellent written, verbal, and client-facing skills
- A proactive and commercially aware approach
