The Role
As a Senior Town Planner, you’ll manage a varied caseload of projects, providing expert planning advice and delivering high-quality outcomes for clients. You’ll play an active role in the full planning process, from feasibility assessments and applications to appeals and project delivery, while contributing to the company’s continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and deliver a range of planning projects across different sectors

Prepare and submit planning applications, statements, and appeals

Undertake site appraisals and research planning policy

Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders throughout the planning process

Represent clients at planning committees and public consultations

Contribute to business development and client relationship management

Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate
About You
We are seeking a proactive and commercially aware Senior Town Planner who is passionate about delivering quality planning solutions. You’ll have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the confidence to manage projects and client relationships independently.
Requirements:

Degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline

MRTPI-qualified (or working towards full accreditation)

3–6 years of experience in planning, ideally within a consultancy environment

Excellent understanding of UK planning policy and development management processes

Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines

Commercial awareness and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
