The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Assistant Planner to work on a wide variety of projects and gain valuable hands-on experience within a supportive consultancy setting. You’ll contribute to planning applications, research, and client communications, while learning from experienced professionals who are passionate about mentoring and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of planning applications and supporting documentation.
- Conduct planning research, site appraisals, and development assessments.
- Contribute to the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs) and other planning documents.
- Support senior team members in liaising with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Stay informed about planning legislation, policies, and best practice to ensure the highest standards of work.
Requirements
- Degree or Master’s in Town Planning or a related discipline.
- Working towards membership of the Irish Planning Institute (IPI) and/or Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
- Some previous experience (including placements or internships) in planning or a related field is desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to project work.
